Lemongrass Essential Oil is obtained by distillation from two types of grass grown in India, Western Africa and Indonesia. It has a strong, fresh, lemon odor. It is a strong anti-bacterial oil, useful for problem skin, open pores and acne, a good insect repellant. It takes approximately 350 kilos of the grass to yield 1 oz. of essential oil. It is also known as Lemon Balm. Lemongrass is effective when used in a non- toxic lice shampoo mixed with Lavender. Add a few drops in a synergy and/or blend for muscle aches, for skin care, acne and open pores. It is also a favorite to use for house cleaning and disinfecting. Add 100 drops to a bucket of water to clean floor tile/wood floors, kitchen counters and bathroom tiles.
